This five day camp will be running at Orton Longueville School and will be the first to take place in Peterborough so we are very excited to be getting lots of young players developing their skills and having some netball fun! Head Coach Jo Munnion (England U19 Head Coach and Mavericks Youth Head Caoch 2008/9) is looking forward to meeting lots of young players that are eager to develop their skills. Helen Stepney one of Cambridgeshire's top coaches will also be coaching at the camp and at least one local talented player will be along to be a role model and share their experiences.

Camp Content
Every day will involve two sessions of netball with each lasting approximately two hours. These will include a variety of small games, drills and match play. There will be fun events during the lunch times such as quizzes or competitions and the chance to develop sports skills through different complimentary activities.
Monday |
Attacking movement skills, vision and getting free. Centre passes. Catching and turning. Reacting to other players. |
Tuesday |
Ball skills, man to man defending, peripheral vision, core work, umpiring (also known as squistling!) Passing and faking. |
Wednesday |
Speed agility quickness, shooting and defending the shot. Balance and body control. Problem solving in matches. |
Thursday |
Defending movement skills, intercepting and flying. Backline passes. Marking the pass and passing past a 3ft marker. |
Friday |
Through court, working as a team and the highlight of the afternoon... match play. |
