Half Term Fun Camp
1st - 4th June 2010
Aged 10 - 13
10am - 4pm each day
£25 per day or £85 for 4 days!

This four day camp will be running outside at the Mavericks home venue the Hertfordshire Sports Village in Hatfield. The top level facility is a regular venue for Mavericks Fun Camps. The experienced coaches are looking forward to helping young players improve their skills and match play. These camps are a great opportunity for young players to meet role models and have lots of netball fun. Scroll down for information regarding the venue, camp sessions and to book your place now!

There are only 20 spaces available each day

Booking

There are two methods for booking places on Internetball camps:
1) Print off and send in your booking form with a cheque for payment and photo
2) Pay for your place via PayPal and then send in your booking form and photo within 10 days
All bookings will be confirmed in writing.

If your player has been on a previous Internetball camp, you can request a personal booking form or just update any previous information via email. Photographs are collected as a safety precaution for players. This does not have to be an official picture, just an image approx head and shoulders the size of a passport photo. Feel free to email a digital image if this is easier.

Camp Content

Every day will involve two sessions of netball with each lasting approximately two hours. These will include a variety of small games, drills and match play. There will be fun events during the lunch times such as quizzes or competitions and the chance to develop sports skills through different complimentary activities.

Tuesday
Ball skills catching and passing, attacking movement skills and getting free. Catching and turning. Reacting to other players
Wednesday
Man to man defending, peripheral vision, core work, umpiring (also known as squistling!) Centre passes.
Thursday
Speed agility quickness, shooting and defending the shot. Balance and body control. Problem solving in matches.
Friday
Through court, working as a team, coping with pressure and the highlight of the afternoon... match play.
