This five day camp will be running at Redborne Upper School and Community College which hosted the Bedford summer camp 2008. The Head Coach at this camp is Jo Munnion, the current England Under 19 Head Coach and Mavericks Youth Head Coach and last year players travelled from as far as Suffolk to get access to the NTL and international youth coach. Unfortunately we do not offer many 14 - 17 camps each year and so this is always a great time for real netball lovers with a desire to do some exercise and develop their game play to work hard and have lots of fun with similar players. The group will work on their skills as well as more tactics in attack and defence than the younger group.

Camp Content

Every day will involve two sessions of netball with each lasting approximately two hours. These will include a variety of small games, drills and match play. There will be fun events during the lunch times such as quizzes or competitions and the chance to develop sports skills through different complimentary activities.

Monday

Catching and passing, turning and attacking movements. Centre court and circle attacking tactics. Umpiring.

Tuesday

Intercepting and flying, creating turnovers and anticipation. Centre court and defensive circle tactics. Scoring.

Wednesday

Speed agility training, shooting and defending the shot. Passing past a 3ft marker and 3ft marking.

Thursday

Interval training, set plays, back and side line passes. Psychological pressure and maintaining concentration...

Friday

Problem solving, beating an individual, unit and team. End of week full match!

Venue

This venue is in the village of Ampthill south of Bedford and off of junction 12 of the M1. Redborne has a strong netball background as well as being a Sports College which maintains links with univeristies.

There are two methods for booking places on Internetball camps, 1) Print off and send in your booking form with a cheque for payment and photo or 2) Pay for your place via PayPal (see right, please fill out the names and days, this reserves your place) and then send in your booking form and photo. All bookings will be confirmed in writing.
