Cottesloe School Netball Day!
3rd July 2008

Due to an overwhelming season, the PE & Netball teachers at Cottesloe School decided that they would like to reward their young netball players and challenge them by getting in a top coach to run a Netball Day on 2nd July 2008!

The group made up of a mixture of year groups training really hard all day working on a variety of skills and mini-tactics. They were focussed and improved in a number of areas including their posture and pouncing onto the ball. Jo Munnion thoroughly enjoyed the day including the very tasty lunch! "We worked up an apetitite" said Munnion, "the players were so good I had to adapt the plans a number of times to keep challenging them!".

Cottesloe School hired Jo Munnion for the day and she went in and gave the players the chance to be coached by an NTL and England Coach. A number of young players in the school already play for top teams in the area such as Aylesbury Flyers and MK Netters and it seems that if they keep working hard they may one day make it to NTL trials. Aylesbury Coach Sam Smith and Gemma Osaer led this initiative and Internetball look forwards to visiting Cottesloe School again in the future.
