Well we certainly have been busy over the last 2 months! Summer Camps, Player Education sessions and Club visits have been keeping Internetball out and about this summer.

Cottesloe School

As a reward to the players at Cottesloe School their teachers arranged a netball day during Sport Week this summer. Last year the visit saw a day of activities aimed at helping the players to develop their skills and this visit the work continued! The players worked extremely hard and were very responsive all day and were kept going with some great refreshments! This relatively small school has a whole host of talented and dedicated netballers as a lot of them also take part in clubs outside of school... and it pays off! A really unexpectedly hot day was good fun and enjoyable for the players and the staff - great to see you again Cottesloe!

Northants Summer Fun Camp

The first ever Northampton Summer Fun Camp! Although there were mixed weather conditions, Caroline Chisholm School turned out to be a great venue with outside courts and a fun cafe for lucnh and quizes.

Milton Keynes Summer Fun Camp

Returning to the Hazeley School, a very new school which has great facilities was lovely this summer as the sun came out and players from across Milton Keynes and Beds came along to imrpove their skills. Lots of local school players and MK Netters were eager to make the most of the extra netball sessions and really improved their body control as well as their catching and passing. Bedford Summer Fun Camp
& 14 - 17 Camp

What a camp! The 10 - 13 age group in Bedfordshire is always a very high standard but this year the players worked harder than ever... at having fun! The team of coaches were busy keeping this lot on track and helping them to tidy up their skills and game play.

The largest number of 14 - 17 players we have had on a Beds Summer event yet! The standard was excellent with a range of players from school through club and up to Regional Academy level made the matches and training a really good challenge for all the players. Jo Munnion put the players through their paces working on their fitness as well as their netball!

Mavericks Summer Fun Camp

Ready? Let's go... MAVERICKS! These young ladies were very noisey (loud enough to keep the lawn bowls awake). A lot of fresh faces at this camp saw a whole mixture of players enjoy being coached by a variety of Mavericks and Mavericks Youth staff and players as well as a guest appearance from a Leed Carnegie player! This lot particularly enjojed their races and showed that some of them have Mavericks spirit!

Netball United

After winning a tournament and getting the prize of a session by Jo Munnion from Buckinghamshire Netball Association, the Netball United crew were put through their paces this August with a challenging session. The three hour training whizzed by as players worked on getting their passing and turning as slick as possible, ready for the new season which started the next day! By the end of the evening players were ready to get on court and face this year's challenges and the groups particularly enjoyed the problem solving tasks. Well worked Netball United.

Cambridgeshire Netball Association

Players from the local leagues around Cambridge made their way to Impington this September for a session with Jo Munnion. There were some familiar faces who fancied some more input following last season's player education session and the netballers were forced to work their brains as well as their bodies this time around! A big emphasis on tactical parts of the games such as getting free and marking in pairs made the players think hard and apply some exciting ideas on court.
